The Caravan Club and West Hampshire Centre
The West Hampshire Centre is an area group within the Caravan Club, known as a "Centre". Please click the link to find out more about Caravan Club membership.
There are 72 Centres within the United Kingdom. Any member of the Caravan Club may register with a Centre of their choice - usually local to their home.
Centre registration, at no extra cost, can be made through Caravan Club headquarters using the telephone number on your membership card. By registering with a Centre, a small portion of your annual subscription passes to the Centre to help with running costs. Re-registration is required annually at the time of your Caravan Club membership renewal. Once you have registered with your chosen Centre, you will receive a welcome letter and a programme of current caravanning activities.
Caravan event, known as "rallies", are a gathering of Caravan Club members who enjoy socialising and making new friendships. They are run during most weekends of the year in areas of special interest or outstanding natural beauty and at locations where special events are taking place during the period of the rally. You don't need to be a Centre member to attend a rally, but once you have sampled what is on offer, we do hope you will consider joining us.
Some rallies have organised activities including dances, barbeques and entertainment. They all offer a relaxing break from the rigours of everyday life. Participation in any activity is entirely optional.

West Hampshire Centre Chairman’s Message
Welcome to the West Hampshire Website. The Centre is run on behalf of its members
by Officers and Committee members who are elected annually in October, at our Annual
General Meeting.
The West Hampshire Centre runs a full twelve-month programme of caravan and related
social activities and I hope you will find something of interest in the events detailed
in the Rallies page on this web site. Email details are also available for you to
obtain additional details and booking information. A group of our members, known
as “Rally Officers”, volunteer to give up some of their free time to run these rallies
and their efforts are very much appreciated.
You must be a registered Caravan Club member to attend our rallies. If you are not
already a member, you can join the Club for a modest annual fee, online at the Caravan
Club website.
Our weekend and holiday rallies offer amazing value for money when compared with
holidays spent in your caravan on commercial sites. In many cases however, mains
electricity is not available although our regular members do not find that this reduces
their enjoyment of caravanning in any way (Solar panels are very effective these
days).
Holidays are planned in 2008 both locally and on the continent.
Due to the popularity of many of our events, forward planning and booking is strongly
recommended. If you do book a rally and then are unable to attend, please do contact
the Rally Officer, giving as much notice as possible, so that a member on the waiting
list can be offered your place.
Whether you live in our lovely area, or choose to attend one of our caravan events
as a visitor, I hope that you will enjoy your time with us. Many West Hampshire
Centre members live outside our area, but prefer to caravan with us, and we are pleased
to welcome them and you to rally with us,
